The Town

He: I hate this town, it’s filled with memories that I’d rather forget…

(She interrupted)

She: I love this town very very much. Sometimes I wonder, what if this town was alive? What if it had thoughts and feelings like one of us? If it did, I think it would want to make the people who live here happy. When I look at how things have turned out for you and me, I feel like the town might have brought us together; that it might have made this miracle happen. But even if it's wonderful, I guess it's not really a miracle, is it? After all, this sort of thing happens every day. People who live here love this town, and they find happiness here all the time. Even if it doesn't have thoughts, I think this town is still alive in its own way. I think it still loves the people who live here. I've grown up in this town, all of my memories and dreams are a part of it. In a way I feel like it raised me.

He: So this town is a big family, huh?

She: Yep. (Giggling)

No Longer Friends

That was Sunday evening, we were sitting on bench at a park. Wind was blowing through her hair and she constantly kept tucking them behind her ears. After a silent moment passed, she asked me ‘who would you favor, your love or your best friend?’  As all people say I said ‘my best friend’ and then I gave her an impressive speech about how friends are better than lovers. She listened to my every word quietly then just smiled, nod in a disparity and turned her head other way.

I was curious to know why? I asked. She said, “I have no faith in friendship anymore”. I exclaimed, “Isn’t that what people say about love?”. She said, “No, that’s what people say when they are no longer friends with their best friends” with that she took her hair clutch tied up her hair and walked away, leaving hundreds of questions in my mind.

The Vagabond

She woke up in the morning with much better feeling than yesterday. She had decided to think positive and be careless to the things that bring her down, including people. She had nothing to lose, she was free.

She took the new book she bought yesterday on the way to home. The next thing she did was opened the random page from the middle of the book and smelled it… That smell of new book always cheered her up. She knew what she was going to do next.

She assembled her books, camera & other stuff and shoved them in her bag. She hopped in to the car and drove away 7 miles outside the city… Being the vagabond, the girl was unstoppable now. She always believed in herself. She believed she could, so she did.

Winter

He came into her life like a breeze in a warm summer. A cool puff of air in a temperate climate, she wanted him more. She chased him everywhere he went, but couldn’t catch him. He was just a breeze, travelling was in his nature.

Suddenly, he got that urge to go after her. He started walking towards her; faster and faster. But she was running away from him now. He didn’t understand. He looked up in the sky and screamed “WHY??”. That’s when a snowflake landed on his cheek. He was too late… It was winter!
